Solderability Degradation Models for Fusible Tin Alloy Coatings on Copper Substrates
IEEE Transactions on Components, Hybrids, and Manufacturing Technology, 1988Ion milling is used to investigate the role of surface corrosion products in degrading solderability of tin and tin alloy coatings over oxygen-free high-conductivity copper substrates. The coatings were applied by electroplating from a low organic stannous sulfate bath and by dipping into molten 300 degrees C Sn and Sn-40Pb alloy.

Fusible alloys: A potential candidate for gamma rays shield design
Progress in Nuclear Energy, 2018Abstract The efficient use of gamma isotopes as tracer elements in medical field for diagnosis and radiotherapy emphasises the need of protecting healthy organs/tissues using appropriate shielding materials. Keeping in mind the ease of fabricating different shield structure as per the requirement, some fusible alloys composed of 48Cd, 49In, 50Sn ...

Fusible alloy electrodes and multi-cation interfacial chemistry in alkali metal batteries
2022Increasing need of portable and efficient energy storage technologies that delivers higher energy and higher power density became one of the most urgent tasks in this century. Lithium metal as one of the most promising anode materials for Li-ion batteries have severe intrinsic limitations, such as dendritic issue and interfacial contact issue, which ...

III. On the liquation, fusibility, and density of certain alloys of silver and copper
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, 1875Abstract The author states that the most remarkable physical property of silver-copper alloys is a molecular mobility, in virtue of which certain combinations of the constituents of a molten alloy become segregated from the mass, the homogeneous character of which is thereby destroyed.

Thermal modification of the rigidity of micro-structures by the phase transition of a fusible alloy
Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering, 2009An original micro-valve has been designed, modeled, fabricated and characterized. Its novelty resides in the thermal modification of the rigidity of its movable element by the phase transition of a fusible alloy integrated by self-assembly onto a silicon membrane. It is applied as a purge and safety valve for hydrogen micro fuel cells. The experimental

Structure and properties of magnesium alloy of ml-5 with fusible metal
