Fusion power plants could be part of a future portfolio of non-carbon dioxide producing energy supplies such as wind, solar, biomass, advanced fission power, and fossil energy with carbon dioxide sequestration. In this paper, we discuss key issues that could impact fusion energy deployment during the last half of this century.

Plant efficiency: a sensitivity analysis of the capacity factor for fusion power plants with high recirculated power [PDF]
The plant efficiency of a nuclear fusion power plant is considered. During nominal operation, the plant efficiency is determined by the thermodynamic efficiency and the recirculated power fraction. However, on average the reactor operates below the nominal power, even when the long shutdown periods for large maintenance are left outside the averaging ...

Applicability Analysis of Energy Storage Techniques for CFETR Fusion Power Plant
[Introduction] The power output of China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR) is periodic, which can not directly meet the stable and continuous input requirements of conventional power generation equipment. CFETR fusion power plant needs to integrate

Effect of Distance between Two Optical Single Mode Fibers on Minimum Splice Losses by Using Arc Fusion Splicer [PDF]
Old Researches were worked to find the splice losses between two single mode fibers (SMF-28/SMF-28) by using different arc fusion splicer without taking the effect of distance between them.

Improving the Feasibility of Economical Proton-Boron 11 Fusion via Alpha Channeling with a Hybrid Fast and Thermal Proton Scheme [PDF]
The proton-Boron 11 (p-B11) fusion reaction is much harder to harness for commercial power than the easiest fusion reaction, namely the deuterium and tritium (DT) reaction. The p-B11 reaction requires much higher temperatures, and, even at those higher temperatures, the cross section is much smaller.

Data fusion strategies for energy efficiency in buildings: Overview, challenges and novel orientations [PDF]
Recently, tremendous interest has been devoted to develop data fusion strategies for energy efficiency in buildings, where various kinds of information can be processed. However, applying the appropriate data fusion strategy to design an efficient energy efficiency system is not straightforward; it requires a priori knowledge of existing fusion ...

Interpolated family of non group-like simple integral fusion rings of Lie type [PDF]
This paper is motivated by the quest of a non-group irreducible finite index depth 2 maximal subfactor. We compute the generic fusion rules of the Grothendieck ring of Rep(PSL(2,q)), q prime-power, by applying a Verlinde-like formula on the generic character table.
