Single-Shot Optical Multiple-Image Encryption Based on Polarization-Resolved Diffractive Imaging
A new method for optical multiple-image encryption based on polarization-resolved diffraction imaging is proposed in this study. A linearly polarized beam is split into two beams of orthogonal polarization to illuminate different images to be encrypted ...

Overview of interpretive modelling of fusion performance in JET DTE2 discharges with TRANSP
In the paper we present an overview of interpretive modelling of a database of JET-ILW 2021 D-T discharges using the TRANSP code. The main aim is to assess our capability of computationally reproducing the fusion performance of various D-T plasma ...

Probing the non-Abelian fusion of a pair of Majorana zero modes [PDF]
In this work, we perform real time simulations for probing the non-Abelian fusion of a pair of Majorana zero modes (MZMs). The nontrivial fusion outcomes can be either a vacuum, or an unpaired fermion, which reflect the underlying non-Abelian statistics.

Investigation of spherical and concentric mechanism of compound droplets
Polymer shells with high sphericity and uniform wall thickness are always needed in the inertial confined fusion (ICF) experiments. Driven by the need to control the shape of water-in-oil (W1/O) compound droplets, the effects of the density matching ...

Fusion breeding and pure fusion development perceptions and misperceptions [PDF]
This paper examines fusion breeding, namely the use of 14 MeV fusion neutrons to breed $^{233}$U fuel for thermal nuclear reactors. This can be accomplished much more quickly than pure fusion. It can become main component of a power architecture that is economical, enviromentally sound and has little if any proliferation risk.

Retrospective of the ARPA-E ALPHA fusion program [PDF]
This paper provides a retrospective of the ALPHA (Accelerating Low-cost Plasma Heating and Assembly) fusion program of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) of the U.S. Department of Energy. ALPHA's objective was to catalyze research and development efforts to enable substantially lower-cost pathways to economical fusion power.
