Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Alloy Design for a Fusion Power Plant
Fusion power is generated when hot deuterium and tritium nuclei react, producing alpha particles and 14 MeV neutrons. These neutrons escape the reaction plasma and are absorbed by the surrounding material structure of the plant, transferring the heat of the reaction to an external cooling circuit.

Analysis of supercritical carbon dioxide Brayton cycles for a DEMO-like fusion power plant [PDF]
Fusion energy is a clean, abundant and almost-unlimited power source for a future decarbonised energy market. The progressive disappearance of carbon-based power produced has sparked the necessity of finding reliable energy sources that can complement

Heating and current drive in STEP: why neutral beam injection is not desirable
Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) is the UK’s prototype fusion power plant programme aiming to demonstrate net electrical output from a spherical tokamak. The plasma scenarios require a completely non-inductive current drive for the flat-top

Development of yttrium-containing self-passivating tungsten alloys for future fusion power plant
Tungsten is a prime material candidate for the first wall of a future fusion reactor. In the case of a loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) wall temperatures of about 1450 K could be reached lasting about 30–60 days due to nuclear decay heat.
