Ash fusion temperatures under oxidizing conditions

The ash fusion temperatures (AFTs) of 70 ashes (obtained from blends of 7 North American source coals of varying rank) have been determined under oxidizing atmospheres in accordance with ASTM method D 1857. These oxidizing AFTs have been compared with the corresponding AFTs obtained under reducing conditions.

Temperature Effect on Critical Flicker Fusion in Multiple Sclerosis

Eighteen multiple sclerosis (MS) patients with a history of optic neuritis and ten normal subjects had the visual critical flicker fusion frequency (CFF) determined prior to and during exposure to moist hot air. Central temperature was monitored by a thermocouple placed against the tympanic membrane.

Deuterium nuclear fusion in metals at room temperature

An attempt to induce the nuclear fusion in PdD by the electrolysis of heavy water was made. The three compartmental electrolytical cells with control instruments to enforce sorption and desorption of deuterium in palladuim were used. The characteristics of nuclear radiation detector are presented.
