The Role of Invasive Procedures in the Treatment of Complicated Gastrointestinal Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease in Pediatric Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Gastrointestinal graft‐versus‐host disease (GI GVHD) following hematopoietic stem cell transplant is typically managed with medical therapy, but surgery and angioembolization may be warranted in selected cases with life‐threatening complications.

Resolving ambiguities in the neutrino mass-flavour spectrum from supernova neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We analyze the neutrino conversions inside a supernova in the 3$\nu$ mixing scheme, and their effects on the neutrino spectra observed at the earth. We find that the observations of the energy spectra of neutrinos from a future galactic supernova may ...

Two Faces of NOTCH1 in Childhood Lymphoblastic T‐Cell Neoplasia: Prognostic Divergence of Mutational and Structural Aberrations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In pediatric patients, T‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T‐LBL) survival exceeds 80%. Relapse remains associated with limited curative options. Frontline treatment is largely extrapolated from T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) treatment, reflecting the ongoing debate, whether both entities represent distinct diseases or variants within ...

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Advancements in Sign Language Recognition: A Comprehensive Review and Future Prospects

open access: yesIEEE Access
Sign language (SL) is a vital mode of communication, bridging the gap between the hearing impaired and hearing communities. However, SL, despite its paramount importance, has received relatively limited attention from researchers.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A method of identifying allographs in undeciphered scripts and its application to the Indus Valley Script

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Communications, 2021
This work describes a general method of testing for redundancies in the sign lists of ancient scripts by data mining the positions of the signs within the inscriptions. The redundant signs are allographs of the same grapheme. The method is applied to the

Neurological soft signs in schizophrenia - The past, the present and the future

open access: yesIndian Journal of Psychiatry, 2012
Clinical neurological abnormalities in patients with schizophrenia have been generally called "Neurological Soft Signs" (NSS). Studies have consistently shown increased NSS in patients with schizophrenia as compared to healthy persons. Early studies were limited by possible confounds of prior neuroleptic medications and illness chronicity.
