Identification of a Nonribosomal Peptide Analog With Activity Against Multiple Gram‐Positive Bacteria via a Synthetic Bioinformatic Natural Product Discovery Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The genome of Rhodococcus erythropolis D‐1 was analyzed by bioinformatic tools to mine a novel nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) gene cluster. A nonribosomal peptide analog ZURJC5 associated with the NRPS was chemically synthesized. Through structure‐activity relationship studies, ZURJC28 was ultimately obtained and showed antibacterial activity ...

TDP‐43 Aggregation: The Healthy‐Toxic Balance of the Prion‐Like Domain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TDP‐43 function relies on a delicate balance between reversible phase‐separated states and irreversible aggregation. Under physiological conditions, TDP‐43 forms dynamic droplets and oligomers that support normal cellular functions. In pathological contexts, this balance shifts toward aberrant aggregation, leading to toxic species.

A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

Generalized fractional model of heat transfer in uncertain hybrid nanofluid with entropy optimization in fuzzy-Caputo sense

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
In this paper, we present a new fuzzy-fractional (FF) transformation to recover FF differential model of hybrid nanofluid. The current study focuses on FF modeling of nanofluid with engine oil as base fluid, while ferrous oxide Fe2O3 and alumina Al2O3 ...

Predictive modeling in food mycology using adaptive neuro-fuzzy systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Fungal growth leads to spoilage of food and animal feeds and to formation of mycotoxins and potentially allergenic spores. There is a growing interest in predictive modeling microbial growth as an alternative to time consuming traditional ...

Biomimetic Macrophage Cell Membrane‐Based Nanoparticles for Effective Treatment of Glioblastoma Through Boron Neutron Capture Therapy Combined With Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains largely incurable due to the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive microenvironment. While boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) selectively eradicates tumor cells via 10B(n, α)‐7Li reactions, its clinical potential in GBM is unrealized because of the suboptimal pharmacokinetics of conventional ...

Hybrid fuzzy modelling using memetic algorithm for hydrocyclone control

open access: yes, 2004
The use of a hybrid fuzzy modeling can act as a good alternative in establishing a hydrocyclone control model in estimating the hydrocyclone parameter, d50c.

Experimental Demonstration of Temporally Aware Fault‐Tolerant Sensor Fusion Using Memristive Associative Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In dynamic driving scenarios, the proposed approach ensures only temporally aligned sensor inputs to make driving decisions, preventing false activations. By enabling selective hardware‐level learning, it achieves fast, reliable responses under noisy conditions.
