SOME COMPUTATIONS ON FUZZY MATRICES: AN APPLICATION IN FUZZY ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2008
Fuzzy mathematics is a generalization in which fuzzy numbers replace real numbers and fuzzy arithmetic replaces real arithmetic. It is an excellent scope for modeling vague and uncertain aspects of the actual environments. In this important area, Dubois and Prade1 defined a fuzzy matrix as a rectangular array of fuzzy numbers.

Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process: A performance analysis of various algorithms [PDF]

open access: possibleFuzzy Sets and Systems, 2019
Abstract Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) along with fuzzy set theory has been used extensively in the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) process in which fuzzy numbers are utilized to represent human judgments more realistically. Over the past couple of decades, numerous articles have been published proposing algorithms through which ...

Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and analytic network process: An integrated fuzzy logarithmic preference programming

Applied Soft Computing, 2013
This paper proposes a two-stage fuzzy logarithmic preference programming with multi-criteria decision-making, in order to derive the priorities of comparison matrices in the analytic hierarchy pprocess (AHP) and the analytic network process (ANP). The Fuzzy Preference Programming (FPP) proposed by Mikhailov and Singh [L. Mikhailov, M.G.

Fuzzy Application to the Analytic Hierarchy Process for Robot Selection

Fuzzy Optimization and Decision Making, 2005
The problem of Robot Selection is of great relevance in the present times of automation. Traditionally such problems were addressed using conventional techniques of Multi Criteria Decision Making such as The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and The Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT).

Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process in a Graphical Approach

Group Decision and Negotiation, 2021
Saaty’s analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is widely used in many decision-making problems such as a choice of alternatives, prioritization, or ranking. Despite being a valuable tool based on pairwise comparisons of a set of alternatives the method is strongly connected with numeric or linguistic descriptors of the preferences. This can form a limitation

Performance measure of airline websites using analytical hierarchy process & fuzzy analytical hierarchy process

2014 IEEE International Conference on Control System, Computing and Engineering (ICCSCE 2014), 2014
Airline website is the major online channel that attracts the customers around the globe. The quality of the website is the main concern for the users who use it. Website quality depends on many criteria from both user's and service providers perspective.

Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process with interval type-2 fuzzy sets

Knowledge-Based Systems, 2014
The membership functions of type-1 fuzzy sets have no uncertainty associated with it. While excessive arithmetic operations are needed with type-2 fuzzy sets with respect to type-1's, type-2 fuzzy sets generalize type-1 fuzzy sets and systems so that more uncertainty for defining membership functions can be handled.
