Fuzzy Clustering Using the Convex Hull as Geometrical Model

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, 2015
A new approach to fuzzy clustering is proposed in this paper. It aims to relax some constraints imposed by known algorithms using a generalized geometrical model for clusters that is based on the convex hull computation.

Convergent and Divergent Connectivity Patterns of the Arcuate Fasciculus in Macaques and Humans

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs viral‐based single‐neuron tracing and dMRI‐based whole‐brain tractography to investigate arcuate fasciculus (AF) trajectories in macaque monkeys, and compares with the human AF connectome using spectral embedding. Results demonstrate conserved AF topography spanning temporoparietal‐auditory‐frontal pathways across primates, with ...

Bioinspired Tissue Transparency: Achieving Sclera‐to‐Cornea Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bioinspired decellularization‐compression‐locking tactic (DCLT) is developed to transform human sclerae into transparent corneal substitutes. These clear, robust, and pro‐regenerative substitutes are capable of repairing complex corneal injuries, including chemical burns, keratoconus, and penetrating wounds, demonstrating their clinical potential to ...

Strongly transitive fuzzy relations: A more adequate way to describe similarity [PDF]

open access: yes
The notion of a transitive closure of a fuzzy relation is very useful for clustering in pattern recognition, for fuzzy databases, etc. It is based on translating the standard definition of transitivity and transitive closure into fuzzy terms.

S3RL: Enhancing Spatial Single‐Cell Transcriptomics With Separable Representation Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Separable Spatial Representation Learning (S3RL) is introduced to enhance the reconstruction of spatial transcriptomic landscapes by disentangling spatial structure and gene expression semantics. By integrating multimodal inputs with graph‐based representation learning and hyperspherical prototype modeling, S3RL enables high‐fidelity spatial domain ...

Fuzzy Subspace Clustering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In clustering we often face the situation that only a subset of the available attributes is relevant for forming clusters, even though this may not be known beforehand. In such cases it is desirable to have a clustering algorithm that automatically weights attributes or even selects a proper subset.

His‐MMDM: Multi‐Domain and Multi‐Omics Translation of Histopathological Images with Diffusion Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
His‐MMDM is a diffusion model‐based framework for scalable multi‐domain and multi‐omics translation of histopathological images, enabling tasks from virtual staining, cross‐tumor knowledge transfer, and omics‐guided image editing. ABSTRACT Generative AI (GenAI) has advanced computational pathology through various image translation models.
