Fuzzy Logic Based Voltage/Reactive Power Control Strategies

Abstract Voltage/reactive power control strategies based on fuzzy logic for shunt-capacitors and under load tap changer (ULTC) transformers are proposed. The paper describes in detail the design of these fuzzy controllers. Numerical results and comparison with conventional methods are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
