Two‐Photon Polymerized Microvascular Environments for Multicellular Modeling of the Blood–Brain Tumor Barrier

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Modeling the blood–brain tumor barrier is challenging due to complex interactions between brain microvasculature and glioma cells. We present two‐photon polymerized 3D micro‐porous capillary‐like structures that support endothelial alignment, cytoskeletal organization, and pericyte‐endothelial‐glioma tri‐cultures.

System Modelling and Decision Making System Based on Fuzzy Expert System

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Business Science and Technology, 2017
They are available many modeling and decision making systems. Some of them are based on statistical methods like time series analysis. The general problem of these systems is that they cannot correctly react to the changes of modeled systems and their ...

An alternative approach to firms’ evaluation: expert systems and fuzzy logic [PDF]

open access: yes
Discounted Cash Flow techniques are the generally accepted methods for valuing firms. Such methods do not provide explicit acknowledgment of the value determinants and overlook their interrelations.

Harnessing Ultrafast Optical Pulses for 3D Microfabrication by Selective Tweezing and Immobilization of Colloidal Particles in an Integrated System

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Microfabrication using nano‐ to micron‐sized blocks has transformative potential for next‐gen electronics, optoelectronics, and materials. Traditional methods are limited by scalability and precision. STIC, a single‐laser system for precise colloid manipulation and immobilization using femtosecond lasers, is introduced that enables efficient 3D ...

Rule chaining in fuzzy expert systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 2001
A fuzzy expert system must do rule chaining differently than a nonfuzzy expert system. In particular, any rule that can fire with a particular linguistic variable in its consequent must fire before any rule whose antecedent conditions depend upon the resultant fuzzy set value of the consequent linguistic variable is allowed to fire. The dependent rules
