FMEA of Turbocharged Diesel Engine System Using Fuzzy Inferencing

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2000
<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper presents a novel method of the FMEA of the turbocharged diesel engine system using fuzzy inferencing. It uses a membership function to represent information of FMEA (e.g. failure mode and failure effect) that is described by linguistic variables to the defined categories.

A Revised Matrix FMEA Technique Based on Fuzzy Logic

Volume 5: 14th Reliability, Stress Analysis, and Failure Prevention Conference; 7th Flexible Assembly Conference, 2000
Abstract A methodology combining the benefits of matrix FMEA and fuzzy logic is presented in this paper. The matrix approach is improved to develop a pictorial representation retaining all relevant qualitative and quantitative information of a several FMEA element relationships, which can be described as many-to-many.

Reliability in Automotive Engineering by Fuzzy Rule-Based FMEA

2012
The Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a reliability estimation method intended to identify potential failures which have significant consequences affecting the system performance. In a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis the Probability of Failure (PoF), Consequence of Failure (CoF) and Detectability of Failure (DoF) may be determined using ...

Analisis Risiko Goliath Crane Galangan Kapal Menggunakan Fuzzy FMEA

Jurnal Teknologi Maritim
The Goliath crane is a very vital machine for the shipbuilding industry because of its lifting capacity which supports the ship production process, especially in the block erection process. The problem that often occurs with the goliath crane is when the engine fails and cannot be used so that the ship production process stops.

Risk Evaluation of Warehouse Operations Using Fuzzy FMEA

2012
Warehouse processes in supply chain operations contain risks which lead to a poor supply chain performance. Therefore, risk analysis in warehouse operations is a critical issue to increase both the supply chain efficiency and the customer service level. In this study, fuzzy FMEA method is used to evaluate the risks of warehouse operations.

FMEA Using Combination Weighting and Fuzzy VIKOR Method

2016
Due to its characteristics and capabilities, the VIKOR method has been employed by Liu et al. (2012) to resolve the risk evaluation problem under fuzzy environment. To overcome the shortcomings and enhance the assessment capability of FMEA, Liu et al. (2015) further presented a hybrid MCDM approach for risk analysis based on combination weighting and ...
