Fuzzy implications and inference processes
We define fuzzy implications in general, then study their families defined from t-norms, t-conorms and strong negations. Connections between such implications and negations are established. Some basic results are presented concerning the contrapositive symmetry property. The study gives birth to a new class of t-norms.

Fuzzy edge detection analysis of clinical drawing by schizophrenic patients
In this study, the fuzzy inference technique was applied for preprocessing the clinical drawings of schizophrenic patients. The interpretation procedure for the clinical drawings was divided into two phases, namely preprocessing and interpretation phases.

An Approach to Building Decision Support Systems Based on an Ontology Service
Modern decision support systems (DSSs) need components for storing knowledge. Moreover, DSSs must support fuzzy inference to work with uncertainty.

Prediction in Photovoltaic Power by Neural Networks [PDF]
The ability to forecast the power produced by renewable energy plants in the short and middle term is a key issue to allow a high-level penetration of the distributed generation into the grid infrastructure. Forecasting energy production is mandatory for

UWB Positioning Algorithm Based on Fuzzy Inference and Adaptive Anti-NLOS Kalman Filtering
To reduce the influence of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) errors in the ultra-wideband (UWB) positioning process, a UWB positioning algorithm based on fuzzy inference and adaptive anti-NLOS Kalman filtering (KF) was proposed in this paper.

Identification of entrant’s abilities on the basis of Sugeno-type fuzzy inference systems
In the conditions of effective training in aviation for dispatchers and pilots, it requires the use of infocommunication systems capable of working under conditions of fuzzy uncertainty in real time.

A New Fuzzy Inference Technique for Singleton Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Systems
A new fuzzy inference technique is presented to replace the conventional fuzzy inference process of type-2 fuzzy logic systems. Because conventional type-2 fuzzy logic systems demand a large amount of memory, they cannot be used by most embedded systems,

Fuzzy Bayesian Inference [PDF]
Data are frequently not precise numbers but more or less non-precise, also called fuzzy. Moreover a-priori information in Bayesian inference is usually not available as a precise probability distribution. In case of fuzzy data and fuzzy a-priori information Bayes' theorem has to be generalized.
