Fuzzy classifications using fuzzy inference networks

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1998
In this paper, fuzzy inference models for pattern classifications have been developed and fuzzy inference networks based on these models are proposed. Most of the existing fuzzy rule-based systems have difficulties in deriving inference rules and membership functions directly from training data. Rules and membership functions are obtained from experts.

Picture inference system: a new fuzzy inference system on picture fuzzy set

Applied Intelligence, 2016
In this paper, we propose a novel fuzzy inference system on picture fuzzy set called picture inference system (PIS) to enhance inference performance of the traditional fuzzy inference system. In PIS, the positive, neutral and negative degrees of the picture fuzzy set are computed using the membership graph that is the combination of three Gaussian ...

Fuzzy inference and fuzzy inference processor

IEEE Micro, 1993
Fuzzy inference, a data processing method based on the fuzzy theory that has found wide use in the control field, is reviewed. Consumer electronics, which accounts for most current applications of this concept, does not require very high speeds. Although software running on a conventional microprocessor can perform these inferences, high-speed control ...

Fuzzy inference on an analog fuzzy chip

IEEE Micro, 1995
Our analog fuzzy processor features an inference speed of more than 1 million fuzzy logical inferences per second, excluding defuzzification. A rule chip processes fuzzy inferences while a second chip handles defuzzification, a functional division that facilitates flexible system configuration.

Fuzzy Inference on Quantum Annealers

2023 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ), 2023
Quantum computers can potentially perform certain types of optimisation problems much more efficiently than classical computers, making them a promising tool for solving complex fuzzy logic problems. In two recent developments, based on solving Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization (QUBO) problems on a type of quantum computers known as quantum ...

On the Infimum and Supremum of Fuzzy Inference by Single Input Type Fuzzy Inference

IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2009
Fuzzy inference has played a significant role in many applications. Although the simplified fuzzy inference method is currently mostly used, the problem is that the number of fuzzy rules becomes very huge and so the setup and adjustment of fuzzy rules become difficult. On the other hand, Yubazaki et al.
