Factual and Counterfactual Explanation of Fuzzy Information Granules
In this chapter, we describe how to generate not only interpretable but also self-explaining fuzzy systems. Such systems are expected to manage information granules naturally as humans do. We take as starting point the Fuzzy Unordered Rule Induction Algorithm (FURIA for short) which produces a good interpretability-accuracy trade-off.

Identification of Fuzzy Inference System Based on Information Granulation
In this study, we propose a space search algorithm (SSA) and then introduce a hybrid optimization of fuzzy inference systems based on SSA and information granulation (IG). In comparison with “conventional” evolutionary algorithms (such as PSO), SSA leads no.t only to better search performance to find global optimization but is also more computationally

Fuzzy Information Granules: a Compact, Transparent and Efficient Representation
This paper presents a method to construct information granules that provide a relevant description of experimental observations and, at the same time, are represented in a compact and semantically sound form. The method works by first granulating data through a fuzzy clustering algorithm, and then representing granules in form of fuzzy sets ...

The Plural Lives of E‐Waste: Valuation and Contestation in Accra's Recycling Network(s)
Short Abstract Electronic waste (e‐waste) in Accra is shown to be plural and ontologically multiple, enacted as livelihood, commodity, hazard, governance object and political actor across dispersed recycling networks. Using a multi‐sited, follow‐the‐thing approach and 60 interviews, I specify four socio‐material mechanisms (i.e., copper's market tempo,
