Fuzzy logic in control systems: fuzzy logic controller. I
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1990For pt.I see ibid., vol.20, no.2, p.404-18, 1990. The basic aspects of the FLC (fuzzy logic controller) decision-making logic are examined. Several issues, including the definitions of a fuzzy implication, compositional operators, the interpretations of the sentence connectives 'and' and 'also', and fuzzy inference mechanisms, are investigated ...

A design for a fuzzy logic controller
Information Sciences, 1988[For the entire collection see Zbl 0648.00013.] The paper deals with the problem of designing a control algorithm realized on the basis of a set of linguistic control rules. The rules express relationships between variables \(x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_ p\) of the system under control and an appropriate control action \(y\), say \[ \begin{aligned} \text{---if ...

Researchers usually implement fuzzy inference systems in software on digital computers or microprocessors. This approach copes with most problems, however real-time systems often require very short time responses. In this case, a hardware implementation becomes the only solution.

ANALYSIS OF A FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1978An analysis is performed of the fuzzy logic controller which results in the identity between this controller and a multilevel relay. This tool is used in stability analysis.

We propose an architecture dedicated mainly to medium-range applications that demand computational power combined with low cost for the resulting hardware system (chip and board). Our architecture is a 16-bit processor with dedicated instructions and hardware for efficient support of fuzzy logic.

A Fuzzy Tuner for Fuzzy Logic Controllers
1992 American Control Conference, 1992A two-level fuzzy tuning scheme is presented in this paper. The fuzzy tuner in the upper level is used to design the membership functions of the fuzzy logic controller in the lower level. The scheme provides an effective means for obtaining a good performance of the controller in a short time with a low computational burden.

Design of a fuzzy logic controller as a suction controller
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1997Abstract A fuzzy logic controller (FLC) designed as a suction controller is proposed. Firstly, we prove that there exists a switching line in the FLC, and the slope of the switching line is determined by scaling factors. Secondly, a Lyapunov function is selected and sufficient conditions for the fuzzy control system (FCS) to be globally ...
