Towards a fuzzy logic programming system: a fuzzy propositional logic

Knowledge-Based Systems, 1991
This paper formally develops a type of propositional fuzzy logic which is analogous to traditional two-valued logic. A complete set of fuzzy qualifiers are defined for the first time, and as a consequence a corresponding set of modifiers. In addition, a set of rules for combining those qualifiers in a proposition have been developed.

Towards a fuzzy-logic programming system: a 1st-order fuzzy logic

Knowledge-Based Systems, 1992
Abstract Traditional logic and logic programming languages cannot handle uncertainty. Fuzzy logic can, but nobody has yet devised a readily computable form. One possible way to achieve this is to define a propositional fuzzy logic, extend this to a 1st-order form, convert it to Horn-clause form, and, finally, to devise a theorem prover to manipulate ...

Towards a fuzzy logic programming system: a clausal form fuzzy logic

Knowledge-Based Systems, 1995
Traditional logic and logic programming languages cannot handle uncertainty. Fuzzy logic can, but it requires a readily computable form. One possible way to achieve this is to define a propositional fuzzy logic, extend this to a first order form, convert it to Horn clause form, and, finally, to devise a theorem prover to manipulate the Horn clauses ...

Fuzzy Logic Operating Program

1993

Connectionist weighted fuzzy logic programs

Neurocomputing, 2008
Fuzzy logic programs are a useful framework for imperfect knowledge representation and reasoning using the formalism of logic programming. Nevertheless, there is the need for modeling adaptation of fuzzy logic programs, so that machine learning techniques, such as connectionist-based learning, can be applied.

Fuzzy Linguistic Logic Programming

2008
This paper presents fuzzy linguistic logic programming which is developed based on fuzzy logic programming introduced by P. Vojtas in order to facilitate the representation and reasoning on knowledge expressed in natural language. In fuzzy linguistic logic programming, truth values are linguistic terms such as true, very true, more or less true, and ...

Introduction to Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy Linear Programming

2008
Fuzzy logic (FL) is a mathematical technique for dealing with imprecise data and problems that have many solutions rather than one. Although it is implemented in digital computers which ultimately make only yesno decisions, FL works with ranges of values, solving problems in a way that more resembles human logic.

Fuzzy logic programming via multilattices

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2007
We investigate the use of multilattices as the set of truth-values underlying a general fuzzy logic programming framework. On the one hand, some theoretical results about ideals of a multilattice are presented in order to provide an ideal-based semantics; on the other hand, a restricted semantics, in which interpretations assign elements of a ...
