Context adaptation of mamdani fuzzy rule based systems

International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2008
Summary: Context adaptation is certainly a promising approach in the development of Fuzzy Rule Based Systems (FRBSs). First, an initial rule base is extracted from heuristic knowledge of the application domain. Meanings of linguistic terms are defined so as to guarantee high interpretability of the FRBSs.

Mamdani-type fuzzy controllers are universal fuzzy controllers

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2001
The authors address a problem about universal fuzzy controllers along with a proof that Mamdani-type fuzzy controllers are universal fuzzy controllers. The system under control is described by a state-space model of the form \(dx/dt=f(x(t),u(t))\) with a general form of the state feedback law \(u(t)=g(x(t))\), ``\(f\)'' and ``\(g\)'' being functions ...

Successive Overrelaxation for Mamdani Fuzzy Systems

Fourth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2007), 2007
To design a Mamdani fuzzy system with good generalization ability in high dimensional feature space, a novel learning algorithm based on the structural risk minimization (SRM) inductive principle is presented in this paper. Firstly, the parameter estimation of a Mamdani fuzzy system is converted to a quadratic optimization problem.

Fuzzy Mamdani Inference System Skin Detection

2009 Ninth International Conference on Hybrid Intelligent Systems, 2009
Skin detection is well known to detect the appearance of human and human parts within an image. However, there are several limitations exist in skin detection when using skin colour as cue to detect skin appearance. These limitations include problems such as illumination, skin-like pixels and camera characteristic.

Sugeno, Mamdani, and fuzzy Mamdani controllers put in a uniform interpolation framework

International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 1998
The paper provides a general framework for proving that fuzzy controllers are universal approximators. The proposed approach is constructive meaning that one is provided with a constructive proof (method) of designing the required fuzzy controllers. Several main classes of commonly encountered fuzzy controllers (Sugeno-Takagi, Mamdani) are analyzed in ...

Fuzzy Inference Network with Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System

2018
In the modern era, the amount of data generated is increasing at an exponential rate. The generated data has both numeric as well as linguistic form. Learning or extracting relevant information from these types of data is a major challenge for researchers.
