[Proceedings 1993] Second IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2002
The authors propose a supervised fuzzy neural network called a fuzzy restricted Columb energy (fuzzy RCE) network for classification problems. In a fuzzy RCE, each hidden neuron is a fuzzy prototype which can be used to represent one or many training patterns.

Cascading fuzzy neural networks
FUZZ-IEEE'99. 1999 IEEE International Fuzzy Systems. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36315), 1999A new fuzzy neural network (FNN) model based on syllogistic fuzzy reasoning is proposed. Unlike most of the proposed FNN models which implement single-stage fuzzy reasoning mechanisms, the new model implements syllogistic fuzzy reasoning which is usually used by human beings. A hybrid learning algorithm is presented to derive an appropriate syllogistic

Fuzzy inference neural network
Neurocomputing, 1997Abstract A new model for the design of Fuzzy Inference Neural Network (FINN) is proposed in this paper. It can automatically partition an input-output pattern space and can extract fuzzy if-then rules from numerical data. The proposed FINN is a two-layer network which utilizes Kohonen's algorithm.

Fuzzy Neural Networks: Capabilities
1996In this chapter we investigate the modeling capabilities of fuzzy neural nets. By a fuzzy neural net we mean a layered, feedforward, neural net with fuzzy weights and/or fuzzy signals. Given a continuous fuzzy function, mapping triangular fuzzy numbers into triangular shaped fuzzy numbers, we are concerned with the possibility of constructing a fuzzy ...

Fuzzy-neural networks for medical diagnosis
International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems, 2010In this paper, a novel fuzzy-neural network architecture is proposed and the algorithm is developed. Using this new architecture, fuzzy-CSFNN, fuzzy-MLP and fuzzy-RBF configurations were constituted, and their performances have been compared on medical diagnosis problems.

Fuzzy Cellular Neural Networks
2001In this, as in the previous chapter, we will deal with information processing systems that were originally inspired by the concepts underlying soft computing. The integration of fuzzy logic concepts in a widely spread architecture such as that of cellular neural networks in fact led to the birth of fuzzy CNNs.

Fuzzy neural networks for gas sensing
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 1996The implementation of a fuzzy neural network with an array of tin oxide based gas sensors for both quantitative and qualitative gas sensing is demonstrated. The architecture of the system is presented with some references to the general theory of fuzzy sets and fuzzy calculus. Experimental results are presented in the case of gas identification between

Constructive Fuzzy Neural Networks
1997Fuzzy neural networks are a very important and active research topic. In the present paper the ANFIS net, which is a powerful fuzzy neural network, and the Min-Max net, which can be determined under a constructive approach, are merged with the aim of obtaining an original constructive fuzzy paradigm.
