Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

Correlation of Fuzzy Numbers by α-Cut Method

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, we propose a method to calculate the correlation coefficient of fuzzy numbers by means of "α-cut". This value obtained from our formula tells us not only the strength of relationship between the fuzzy numbers, but also whether the fuzzy ...

Mitochondrial Dysfunction Unravels the Potential Molecular Link Between Night Shift Work‐Related Circadian Disruption and Elevated Blood Pressure in Human and Mouse Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

The core of a sequence of fuzzy numbers

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, based on level sets we define the limit inferior and limit superior of a bounded sequence of fuzzy numbers and prove some properties. We extend the concept of the core of a sequence of complex numbers, first introduced by Knopp in 1930, to

Nanoscale Spatial Organization of ARC High‐ and Low‐Order Assemblies at Excitatory Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARC (Activity‐Regulated Cytoskeleton‐Associated protein) mediates synaptic plasticity by forming nanoscale assemblies in neurons. Using super‐resolution microscopy and time‐resolved anisotropy with targeted tagging, the study reveals low‐order ARC assemblies at synapses colocalizing with AMPARs, semi‐circular structures at endocytic zones, and 60–80 nm

Endoplasmic Reticulum Geometry Dictates Neuronal Bursting via Calcium Store Refill Rates and Exposes Selective Neuronal Vulnerability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ER's continuous tubular network is maintained by ER‐shaping proteins whose mutation or dysregulation contributes to neurodegenerative diseases. Here, we show that ER morphology sets the speed of Ca2+ store replenishment between firing events. Disrupting ER continuity slows intra‐ER Ca2+ redistribution from extracellular refill (SOCE) sites, driving

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Different Approaches to Operations on Continuous Fuzzy Numbers

open access: yes, 2008
The work is particularly addressed to some beginners in performing operations on continuous fuzzy numbers. We discuss three different approaches to operations on fuzzy numbers to make comparisons of results in the aspect of their advantages and ...
