Proceedings of 1994 IEEE 3rd International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 2002This paper is devoted to an interpretation of fuzzy sets on the basis of indistinguishability. Here we restrict to indistinguishability induced by tolerance bounds /spl epsiv/ that lead to identifying numbers whose difference is less than /spl epsiv/. We admit the modification of the ordinary distance by scaling functions.

Our system uses fuzzy logic to bipartition cells in VLSI circuits. The system uses fuzzy logic principles to generate net and cell indices and a bottom-up clustering algorithm to produce the two-way partition. We tested our algorithm on eleven ISCAS89 benchmark circuits and compare its performance with that of other implementations.
