Mean‐Variance Payoff Applied to Stackelberg Games

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We analyse a Stackelberg duopoly in which the leader faces uncertainty about the intercept demand, while the follower observes the realised demand and decides whether to enter the market after the uncertainty is resolved. The leader evaluates the uncertainty by maximising a mean‐variance utility function that captures its risk aversion.

Quantifying the Effects of Spatial Inhomogeneity in an Autoclave LDPE Reactor Using CFD

open access: yesMacromolecular Reaction Engineering, EarlyView.
A CFD simulation incorporating rigorous polymerization chemistry into a plant‐scale sliding mesh reactor with multiple PID controllers revealed axial flow patterns that segment the reactor into smaller compartments with different properties. More evident differences exist between the mixture within the agitator shaft swept volume and that outside of ...

Accelerating MRI With Longitudinally‐Informed Latent Posterior Sampling

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To accelerate MRI acquisition by incorporating the previous scans of a subject during reconstruction. Although longitudinal imaging constitutes much of clinical MRI, leveraging previous scans is challenging due to the complex relationship between scan sessions, potentially involving substantial anatomical or pathological changes, and ...

Respiratory Motion‐Corrected Model‐Based 3D Water‐Fat MRA of the Thorax at 0.55 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose The goal of this study was to develop a 5‐min 3D MRA acquisition at 0.55 T with predictable scan time, 100% data efficiency, and robust water‐fat separation. Methods For full data efficiency, the proposed method combined self‐gating with retrospective motion correction while ensuring a predictable 5‐min scan time.

A Spatio‐Temporal Diffusion Model for Cardiac Real‐Time Imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Real‐time imaging of cardiac function is favorable due to shorter scan times and becomes necessary when arrhythmia or inability to hold breath leads to insufficient quality of electrocardiogram (ECG)‐gated Cartesian cine. However, comparable spatio‐temporal resolution can only be achieved in undersampled settings, which in turn demand ...
