Molecular Processors: From Qubits to Fuzzy Logic
ChemPhysChem, 2010AbstractSingle molecules or their assemblies are information processing devices. Herein it is demonstrated how it is possible to process different types of logic through molecules. As long as decoherent effects are maintained far away from a pure quantum mechanical system, quantum logic can be processed.

A bit scalable architecture for fuzzy processors
Proceedings. XII Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems Design (Cat. No.PR00387), 2003Several hardware architectures to implement fuzzy processors have been proposed to satisfy real-time requirements, but very few of these are suitable for automatic synthesis. This paper presents bit scalable architecture that allows the automatic synthesis of fuzzy processors in different bit wide resolution.

Simplified architecture of a fuzzy inference processor
Proceedings 1993 The First New Zealand International Two-Stream Conference on Artificial Neural Networks and Expert Systems, 2002The authors show that by treating the inputs of a fuzzy system as fuzzy singletons, the architecture of a fuzzy inference processor (FIP) can be simplified significantly. The design can be implemented using mainly min/max functional blocks and presettable counters.

Operation method in fuzzy set operation processor
[1991 Proceedings] IEEE International Conference on Computer Design: VLSI in Computers and Processors, 2002A VLSI for diverse fuzzy set operations (FSP: fuzzy set processor) uses a single instruction multiple data stream (SIMD) architecture that is composed of four basic operation units and a variable microprogram control circuit. Speed increases of 50 times over a RISC-type CPU are possible when executing fuzzy set operations using a 16 basic operation ...

Design and Implementation of Fuzzy Control on a Two-Wheel Inverted Pendulum
IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2011This paper introduces the design and implementation of a two-wheel inverted pendulum (TWIP) system with a fuzzy control scheme and the system-on-a-programmable-chip (SoPC) technology.

Fuzzy Development Stations and Fuzzy Inference Processors
1993With the incorporation of fuzzy control into household appliances, “fuzzy” has become a household word. The number of fuzzy applications is increasing every year, providing great incentive to researchers engaged in fuzzy control development.

Analog fuzzy audio processor for loudspeaker systems
1998 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems Proceedings. IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence (Cat. No.98CH36228), 2002We describe the application of an analog fuzzy processor to a loudspeaker system. The introduction of this audio processor between the input electric signal and the power amplifier results in a remarkable reduction of the distortion of reproduced sounds.

General interface for the WARP1.0 fuzzy processor
Proceedings of 6th International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 2002This paper deals with the use of WARP1.0 fuzzy processor for the implementation of a fuzzy controller. The internal structure of the WARP1.0 has led to the definition of a general interface in order to facilitate the exchange of data with a host processor.

A dedicated parallel processor for fuzzy computation
Proceedings of 6th International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 2002The paper presents the design of a VLSI fuzzy processor which is capable of performing fuzzy inferences. Its main features are: parallel processing of several fuzzy rules; a pre-computation phase of the degree of positive truth of the antecedents, processing of the only active rules; optimized representation of membership functions.
