Fuzzy Programming with Fuzzy Decisions

2002
Traditionally, mathematical programming models produce crisp decision vectors such that some objectives achieve the optimal values. However, for practical purposes, sometimes we should provide a fuzzy decision rather than a crisp one. Bouchon-Meunier et al [26] surveyed various approaches to maximizing a numerical function over a fuzzy set. Buckley and

Adaptation of Weighted Fuzzy Programs

2006
Fuzzy logic programs are a useful framework for handling uncertainty in logic programming; nevertheless, there is the need for modelling adaptation of fuzzy logic programs. In this paper, we first overview weighted fuzzy programs, which bring fuzzy logic programs and connectionist models closer together by associating significance weights with the ...

ON PROGRAMMING WITH FUZZY CONSTRAINT SETS

Kybernetes, 1977
Two solution concepts for a FMP problem are suggested. The first one makes use of level sets of the fuzzy set of feasible alternatives. The second solution is based on the concept of Pareto maximum in vector optimization. It is shown that both solutions are equivalent in a sense that they give the same fuzzy value of a function maximized.

Fuzzy Programming Approach for Solving Intuitionistic Fuzzy Linear Fractional Programming Problem

International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, 2015
This paper develops an approach for solving intuitionistic fuzzy linear fractional programming problem (IFLFPP). The cost of the objective function, the resources, and the technological coefficients are taken to be triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers.

Fuzzy Arden Syntax: A fuzzy programming language for medicine

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, 2010
The programming language Arden Syntax has been optimised for use in clinical decision support systems. We describe an extension of this language named Fuzzy Arden Syntax, whose original version was introduced in S. Tiffe's dissertation on "Fuzzy Arden Syntax: Representation and Interpretation of Vague Medical Knowledge by Fuzzified Arden Syntax ...

Fuzzy Linguistic Logic Programming

2008
This paper presents fuzzy linguistic logic programming which is developed based on fuzzy logic programming introduced by P. Vojtas in order to facilitate the representation and reasoning on knowledge expressed in natural language. In fuzzy linguistic logic programming, truth values are linguistic terms such as true, very true, more or less true, and ...

A Fuzzy Programming Approach for Bilevel Stochastic Programming

2014
This article presents a fuzzy programming (FP) method for modeling and solving bilevel stochastic decision-making problems involving fuzzy random variables (FRVs) associated with the parameters of the objectives at different hierarchical decision-making units as well as system constraints. In model formulation process, an expectation model is generated

The relationship between goal programming and fuzzy programming

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1997
Abstract Goal programming (GP) and fuzzy programming (FP) are two approaches for solving the vector optimization problem by reducing it to a single (or sequential) objective one. These two approaches have some similarities and both of them have more than one form to handle the multiobjective problem.
