On the use of fuzzy real options hybrid simulation : analysis and interpretation.

2023

Analysis of real-time system conflict based on fuzzy time Petri nets

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014
The time uncertainty and the resource conflict are two very important aspects in modeling and analyzing real-time system. The paper defines a kind of Fuzzy Time Petri Nets (FTPN) to simulate the behavior of real-time system limited by time. It studies the conflict with time attribute and space-time collision in real-time system and utilizes time ...

Fuzzy real option analysis for highway project based on credibility theory

2011 IEEE 18th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2011
Because of the uncertainty in the construction project investment, real option analysis (ROA) is favored by people than the traditional discounted cash flow method (DCF). Due to its huge amount of investment, long construction period, Irreversible investment, highway project has much more uncertainty.

A Fuzzy Discounted Cash Flow Analysis for Real Estate Investment

2002
In a discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, reliability and credibility of results are strictly dependent on the prediction of key input variables. There are two approaches at which these inputs can be rigorously determined. The first approach involves the use of standard statistical tools such as the multiple regression analysis and the Box-Jenkin’s ...

An orthogonal least squares-based fuzzy filter for real-time analysis of lung sounds

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2000
Pathological discontinuous adventitious sounds (DAS) are strongly related with the pulmonary dysfunction. Its clinical use for the interpretation of respiratory malfunction depends on their efficient and objective separation from vesicular sounds (VS). In this paper, an automated approach to the isolation of DAS from VS, based on their nonstationarity,

Comparison Analysis between PID and Fuzzy Logic Controllers for Quadrotor in a Simulated and in a Real Environment

2018 Latin American Robotic Symposium, 2018 Brazilian Symposium on Robotics (SBR) and 2018 Workshop on Robotics in Education (WRE), 2018
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) like quadrotors are becoming more popular and are being used in many different applications. While there are many ready-made models on the market, their cost is often high due to industrial value, patents, among other costs.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Fuzzy Real Options in Decision-Making

Fuzzy real options represent a powerful tool for decision-making under uncertainty, combining the strategic valuation of real options with the flexibility of fuzzy logic to handle imprecision and ambiguity. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the scientific literature on fuzzy real options, based on 203 documents indexed in the Scopus and ...

Fuzzy Bionic Hand Control in Real-Time Based on Electromyography Signal Analysis

2016
In this paper a fuzzy model for control of bionic hand in real-time is proposed. The control process involves interpretation and analysis of surface electromyography signal (sEMG) acquired from patients with amputees. The work considers the use of force sensing resistor to achieve better control of the artificial hand.

Static Stability Analysis Method for Fuzzy Rule-Chaining Real-Time Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1996
Abstract The intrinsic property of real-time systems is finite response time. For a class of rule-chaining real-time systems this requires them to derive their responses in a finite number of rule-firings. The states of the system where its invocation would derive a response in finite time are called stable states.

Real-Time Fuzzy Linguistic Analysis of Anomalies from Medical Monitoring Devices on Data Streams

Proceedings of the 10th EAI International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare, 2016
Analysis of data streams generated from devices collecting data from patients, which are monitored within both clinical and home environments, provide useful information for decision making processes. Nevertheless, medical personnel are still required to review and process the data and therefore spend a lot of time and effort to detect situations of ...
