α—Fuzzy Relation Equations and Decomposable Fuzzy Relations
1989In this Ch., we investigate a new type of fuzzy relation equation defined on finite sets and with membership functions on a complete Brouwerian lattice. We characterize the entire set of the solutions when the fuzzy equation is assigned on a linear lattice. We also study when a fuzzy relation is pointwise decomposable in the intersection (resp.

Fuzzy relation equations and causal reasoning
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1995One of the ways to treat diagnosis problems is to relate them to particular relations between the ``manifestations'' and the ``diagnoses''. For the case of incomplete or uncertain informations different approaches have been proposed which relate to fuzzy relations and fuzzy relations equations.

Fuzzy relation equations and subsystems of fuzzy transition systems
Knowledge-Based Systems, 2013In this paper we study subsystems, reverse subsystems and double subsystems of a fuzzy transition system. We characterize them in terms of fuzzy relation inequalities and equations, as eigen fuzzy sets of the fuzzy quasi-order Q"@d and the fuzzy equivalence E"@d generated by fuzzy transition relations, and as linear combinations of aftersets and ...

Properties of max-\(*\) fuzzy relation equations
Soft Comput., 2010The authors establish several results about fuzzy relation equations with a max-\(*\) composition, \(``*"\) being an operator which extends min and prod in similar equations studied by \textit{C. Zhang, C. Lu} and \textit{D. Li} [J. Fuzzy Math. 14, No.~1, 53--63 (2006; Zbl 1105.03055)].

Intuitionistic fuzzy relation equations
2010 International Conference on Educational and Information Technology, 2010In this paper, we extend the fuzzy relation equations to intuitionistic fuzzy relation equations. The definition of intuitionistic fuzzy relation equations is proposed on the basis of theory of fuzzy relation equation. Intuitionistic fuzzy relation equation is an L-fuzzy relation equation. The method with special significance is obtained as the lattice

Fuzzy Relational Equations and Universal Approximation
2016This chapter presents the concepts of fuzzy relationships and fuzzy relational equations. These are applied to medical diagnosis and Bayesian inference. The notion of universal approximator with applications to dynamical systems, complete the chapter.

Fuzzy relational equations in monoidal logics
2004 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37542), 2005We present a general framework for solving fuzzy relational equations in monoidal logics. This framework yields the general solution equations for relational systems based on large family of many-valued logics. The proofs use as a tool certain relational inequalities that we call BK-residuated bootstrap.

Fuzzy Relation Equations in Semilinear Spaces
2010We introduce a notion of an idempotent semilinear space and consider two systems of linear-like equations. These systems are equivalent to systems of fuzzy relation equations with sup-*and \(\inf\)-→ compositions. We show that the theory of Galois connections can be successfully used in characterizing whether these systems are solvable and, if so ...
