Probabilistic fuzzy rough sets
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2015We extend the fuzzy rough set as probabilistic fuzzy rough set (PFRS) on a fuzzy probabilistic approximation space. The proposed PFRS models both vague and uncertain information at the same time. The viability of PFRS in decision making is illustrated through a case study.

Fuzzy Rough Set-Based Sentence Similarity Measure and its Application to Text Summarization
IETE Technical Review, 2018Fuzzy Rough Sets are designed for decision-making with uncertainty, imprecision, and incompleteness in data. We propose to use Fuzzy Rough Sets for the task of sentence similarity-based Text Summarization.

2003
Fuzzy Sets and Hyperstructures introduced by Zadeh, in 1965, and by Marty, in 1934, respectively, are now used in the world both on the theoreticaI point of view and for their many applications. The Rough Sets considered for the first time by Shafer in 1976, have been reintroduced in the international scientific circle by Pawlak, in 1991 especially in ...

Fuzzy rough sets, fuzzy preorders and fuzzy topologies
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2013This paper shows that observations made by different authors at different times regarding one-to-one correspondence between the family of fuzzy preorders on a nonempty set and the family of all fuzzy topologies on this set satisfying certain extra conditions are essentially equivalent.

GENUINE SETS, VARIOUS KINDS OF FUZZY SETS AND FUZZY ROUGH SETS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2003In this paper, deriving the type-m fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, Φ-fuzzy sets, rough sets, fuzzy rough sets and rough fuzzy sets as particular genuine sets, and establishing their connections with genuine sets, it is demonstrated that the theory of genuine sets provides a powerful tool to model various different kinds of uncertainty in a ...
