On the fuzzy cardinality of a fuzzy set

International Journal of General Systems, 2006
We look at problem of determining the number of elements of a fuzzy set and its cardinality. It is noted that the simple adding of membership grades often does not lead to a satisfactory results. We investigate the use of a fuzzy subset of the non-negative integers to represent the cardinality of a fuzzy set. We prove a fundamental relationship between

Fuzzy soft sets as L -fuzzy sets

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2019
In this paper, it is shown that an L -fuzzy soft set on X with a set E of parameters can be regarded as an L X

Fuzzy rough sets are intuitionistic L-fuzzy sets

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1998
The concepts of intuitionistic \(L\)-fuzzy sets (IL-FS) [see \textit{K. Atanassov} and \textit{S. Stoeva}, ``Intuitionistic \(L\)-fuzzy sets'', in: R. Counting with Fuzzy Sets

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 1986
The notion of fuzzy set cardinality is examined. Zadeh's suggested measure of fuzzy cardinality, the sigma-count, is adopted and shown to generalize classical counting measure. This allows many combinatorial structures and counting techniques to be fuzzified, and hence used in knowledge representation and pattern recognition models.

Fuzzy Sets, Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

2017
In this chapter, we define four separations of generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (GIVIFSs). In fact, all interval-valued Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) are GIVIFSs but all GIVIFSs are not IVIFSs. Also, we studied some properties of the four separated subsets of GIVIFSs.

GENUINE SETS, VARIOUS KINDS OF FUZZY SETS AND FUZZY ROUGH SETS

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2003
In this paper, deriving the type-m fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, Φ-fuzzy sets, rough sets, fuzzy rough sets and rough fuzzy sets as particular genuine sets, and establishing their connections with genuine sets, it is demonstrated that the theory of genuine sets provides a powerful tool to model various different kinds of uncertainty in a ...

On Fuzzy Sets Convolution, Fuzzy Lipschitz Sets and Triangular Fuzzy Sets of Rank p

2009
In this paper we present some counterexamples to a result related to fuzzy Lipschitz sets and fuzzy sets convolution. Using the concept of fuzzy triangular set of rank p is presented an alternative proof of a interesting density result over fuzzy sets which was previosly proved by using the result belied.
