Synchronizing the Osteochondral Regeneration Process through Spatial Patterning of Stable and Hypertrophic Cartilage Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Zonated osteochondral assembloid implants are engineered through scaffold‐free spatial assembly of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)‐derived chondrocyte organoids and periosteum‐derived osteogenic organoids. Implanted into full‐thickness rat osteochondral defects, they promote hyaline‐like cartilage repair, support subchondral bone formation with ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

Assembling a True “Olympic Gel” From over 16 000 Combinatorial DNA Rings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Olympic gels are an elusive class of soft matter, consisting of molecular networks held together purely by mechanically interlocked rings. Their topological structure promises unique properties and functions, but their synthesis has proven notoriously difficult.

Dynamic Deformation Reconstruction of Variable Section WING with Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In order to monitor the variable-section wing deformation in real-time, this paper proposes a dynamic reconstruction algorithm based on the inverse finite element method and fuzzy network to sense the deformation of the variable-section beam structure ...

Design of fuzzy system by NNs and realization of adaptability [PDF]

open access: yes
The issue of designing and tuning fuzzy membership functions by neural networks (NN's) was started by NN-driven Fuzzy Reasoning in 1988. NN-driven fuzzy reasoning involves a NN embedded in the fuzzy system which generates membership values.

Introduction to Fuzzy Systems

open access: yes, 2017
The following chapter describes the basic concepts of fuzzy systems and approximate reasoning. The study focuses mainly on fuzzy models based on Zadeh’s compositional rule of inference. The presentation begins with an introduction of fundamental ideas of fuzzy conditional (if-then) rules.
