Broyden's Method for Solving Fuzzy Nonlinear Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, 2010
Instead of using standard analytical techniques, like Buckley and Qu method, which are not suitable for solving a system of fuzzy nonlinear equations where the coefficient is fuzzy number, Broyden's method is proposed for solving fuzzy nonlinear ...

Dynamic Fluorescence Modulation via Light‐Driven Competitive Protonation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐component molecular system demonstrates reversible, light‐driven fluorescence write–erase cycling and thermal imaging. Illumination of a merocyanine photoacid transfers a proton to a highly efficient fluorescent pyridinium dye, switching its emission color; thermal relaxation reverses the process in the dark.

Continual Learning for Multimodal Data Fusion of a Soft Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Models trained on a single data modality often struggle to generalize when exposed to a different modality. This work introduces a continual learning algorithm capable of incrementally learning different data modalities by leveraging both class‐incremental and domain‐incremental learning scenarios in an artificial environment where labeled data is ...
