Fuzzy Transforms and Seasonal Time Series

open access: yes, 2016
Is proposed a new method based on the inverse F-transform for prediction analysis of seasonal time series. Performance comparison with the traditional F-transform method, and the famous ARIMA methods are carried out; the results show that the better ...

Fuzzy Sumudu transform

open access: yes, 2023
Doctor of Philosophy in Pure MathematicsOrdinary differential Equations (ODEs) have long been used to model real-life problems. As times goes on, researchers realized that ODEs are no longer the best modelling tool, since they are inaccurate, especially ...

Towards an (Even More) Natural Probabilistic Interpretation of Fuzzy Transforms (and of Fuzzy Modeling)

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, 2011
In many practical applications, it turns out to be useful to use the notion of fuzzy transform: once we have functions A1(x)≥0,...,An≥0, with ∑i=1nAi(x)=1, we can then represent each function f(x) by the coefficients Fi=(∫f(x)⋅Ai(x)dx)/(∫Ai(x)dx).

On Determination Method for Resolution of Secondary Electron Images in Scanning Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An idealized SEM, termed Rayleigh's microscope, is constructed by Monte Carlo simulation to represent imaging conditions that just satisfy the Rayleigh criterion. Based on this physically defined model, sharpness–resolution conversion curves are established and combined with the Rose criterion, enabling automated resolution evaluation from practical ...

Solving Fuzzy Games Problems by Using Ranking Functions

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2018
In this paper, we deal with games of fuzzy payoffs problem while there is uncertainty in data. We use the trapezoidal membership function to transform the data into fuzzy numbers and utilize the three different ranking function algorithms.

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

Nanoscale Spatial Organization of ARC High‐ and Low‐Order Assemblies at Excitatory Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARC (Activity‐Regulated Cytoskeleton‐Associated protein) mediates synaptic plasticity by forming nanoscale assemblies in neurons. Using super‐resolution microscopy and time‐resolved anisotropy with targeted tagging, the study reveals low‐order ARC assemblies at synapses colocalizing with AMPARs, semi‐circular structures at endocytic zones, and 60–80 nm

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Evolving Takagi Sugeno modelling with memory for slow processes. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Evolving Takagi Sugeno (eTS) models are optimised for use in applications with high sampling rates. This mode of use produces excellent prediction results very quickly and with low memory requirements, even with large numbers of input attributes. In this
