Fuzzy VIKOR with an application to water resources planning

Expert Systems With Applications, 2011
The fuzzy VIKOR method has been developed to solve fuzzy multicriteria problem with conflicting and noncommensurable (different units) criteria. This method solves problem in a fuzzy environment where both criteria and weights could be fuzzy sets. The triangular fuzzy numbers are used to handle imprecise numerical quantities.

Extension of Fuzzy ELECTRE based on VIKOR method

Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2013
Many decision problems in real-world deal with conflicting criteria, uncertainty and imprecise information. Some also allow a group of decision makers (DMs) to make their opinions independently. Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is a well known decision method that can make the quality of group multiple criteria decisions better by creating a more ...

GSES Based on Intuitionistic Fuzzy VIKOR Method

2021
Considering the fact that it is difficult to precisely determine criteria weights and the ratings of suppliers on each criterion in real-life situations, the VIKOR (VIsekriterijumska optimizacija i KOmpromisno Resenje) method has been modified for intuitionistic fuzzy data in this chapter for green supplier selection. Further, we take into account both

Trust modeling based on a combination of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy VIKOR

Soft Computing, 2014
In this paper, we use a combination of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy VIKOR approaches from the domain of multi-criteria decision making to formulate trust. The VIKOR method was originally developed to solve decision problems with conflicting and non-commensurable criteria. The VIKOR method assumes that compromise is acceptable for conflict
