The Flipped Voltage Follower (FVF): An Alternative Topology for LDO Regulators

2018
To overcome the limitations of the classical topology to build IC-LDO regulators, several authors have chosen alternative topologies. This is the case of the Flipped Voltage Follower cell (proposed by Ramirez-Angulo et al., ISCAS 2002), which meets the requirements of LDO regulators as a consequence of its low output impedance and good stability.

The Shape of Saccade-based Functional Visual Fields (FVFs): A cautionary note

Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics
A Functional Visual Field (FVF) describes an area around the current point of fixation within which some task is done. In visual search, three types of FVF are of interest. The Resolution FVF describes the region within which a specific target can be identified.

A low voltage wide swing level shifted FVF based current mirror

2013 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2013
A new low voltage level shifted flipped voltage follower (FVF) current mirror has been proposed. The proposed current mirror has very low input resistance and high output resistance. The proposed current mirror is shown to have wider operating range as compared to FVF based current mirror.

A Fully Integrated FVF LDO With Enhanced Full-Spectrum Power Supply Rejection

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2021
This article presents a fully integrated flipped voltage follower (FVF) based low-dropout (LDO) regulator with enhanced full-spectrum power supply rejection (PSR) and unity-gain bandwidth over 400MHz for noise-sensitive circuits. Following the study of three types of FVF LDO's PSR performances, we propose a novel FVF LDO with a low-gain fast loop-1 and

High-PSR and fast-transient LDO regulator with nested adaptive FVF structure

2020 IEEE International Conference on Integrated Circuits, Technologies and Applications (ICTA), 2020
This paper presents a low-dropout (LDO) regulator using nested adaptive flipped voltage follower (FVF) to achieve fast-transient response and improve both power supply rejection ratio (PSR) and line regulation. It features a maximum ripple of 4.6mV at output when the load current steps between $1 \mu \mathrm{A}$ and 20mA in 10ps, with the advantages of

FVF LDO regulator with dual dynamic-load composite gain stage

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2017
A low-voltage output-capacitorless low-dropout regulator using dual dynamic-load composite gain stage for flipped voltage follower topology is presented. It also incorporates a delay discharge circuit which aims to reduce the long discharge time arising from the large capacitive load, thus achieving the overshoot time reduction and sustaining fast ...

Delay area efficient low voltage FVF based current comparator

2012 Students Conference on Engineering and Systems, 2012
This paper presents an improved current comparator using flipped voltage follower (FVF) to obtain the single supply voltage. This circuit exhibits short propagation delay and occupies a small chip area. The proposed circuit has been simulated employing PSpice simulator for 0.18 μm CMOS technology and a comparison has been performed with its non FVF ...

Differential FVF Based Compact Rail-to-Rail Buffer Amplifier for LCD Column Drivers

2018 2nd European Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), 2018
This paper presents an ultra-compact rail-to-rail buffer amplifier for large size liquid crystal display column drivers. The proposed circuit is mainly composed of a differential flipped voltage follower as the input stage and an inverter based output stage.

A FVF LDO regulator with damping-factor-control frequency compensation for SOC application

2014 12th IEEE International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated Circuit Technology (ICSICT), 2014
An output-capacitorless low-dropout regulator (OCL-LDO), which is based on flipped-voltage-follower (FVF) using damping-factor-control (DFC) frequency compensation for SOC application, is presented in this paper. The proposed LDO with 1.2V supply, 100mA load current was designed by SMIC 0.13um standard CMOS process.
