CNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 2, February 2026.We found that SIX2 directly upregulates DDIT4 expression by binding to its promoter region, leading to the suppression of mTOR signaling and subsequent activation of autophagy. This autophagy induction facilitates the transition of microglial cells from a pro‐inflammatory M1 phenotype to the neuroprotective M2 phenotype.

Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.A new fern species, Aleuritopteris hainanensis, is described from Hainan Province, China, closely resembling A. squamosa but differing in fertile/sterile frond length and scale morphology. Plastome analysis confirms its distinctness, showing significant genetic divergence from A. squamosa.
