Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A Method for UAV Path Planning Based on G-MAPONet Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesDrones
To address the issues of efficiency and robustness in UAV trajectory planning under complex environments, this paper proposes a Graph Multi-Head Attention Policy Optimization Network (G-MAPONet) algorithm that integrates Graph Attention (GAT), Multi-Head

Efficiency Enhancement of Perovskite Solar Cells Based on Graphene Nanocomposites as Electrons and Holes Transport Layers

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Industrial Research, 2023
This study investigates the use of TiO2/G and ZrO2/G transport layers in perovskite solar cells. The hydrothermal technique was used to synthesize the transport layers.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Study of spin mixing conductance of single oriented Pt in Pt/Ni81Fe19 heterostructure by spin pumping

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
The spin mixing conductance g↑↓ of a ferromagnetic and a nonmagnetic (NM) layer characterizes the transport efficiency of spin current through the interface.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Contributions of bark and tension wood and role of the G-layer lignification in the gravitropic movements of 21 tropical tree species [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Forest Science, 2019
Abstract Key message Gravitropic movements in angiosperm woody stems are achieved through the action of bark and/or wood motor, depending on the bark and wood fibre anatomy (with trellis structure or not; with G-layers or not). Bark motor is as efficient as wood motor to recover from tilting in young trees of 21 tropical species.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Two-Layer Planarization: Improving on Parameterized Algorithmics

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2005
A bipartite graph is biplanar if the vertices can be placed on two parallel lines in the plane such that there are no edge crossings when edges are drawn as straight-line segments connecting vertices on one line to vertices on the other line.

Heat Treatment of Flint at the Late Neanderthal Site Sesselfelsgrotte (Germany)

open access: yesQuaternary, 2023
We examined lithic artifacts from the late Neanderthal site Sesselfelsgrotte (Bavaria, Germany) in order to evaluate the possibility of fire use and intentional flint heat treatment performed by late Neanderthals. We analyzed 1113 flint pieces from the G-
