Brueckner G matrix for a planar slab of nuclear matter

Physics of Atomic Nuclei, 2001
The equation for the Brueckner G matrix is investigated for planar-slab geometry. A method for calculating the G matrix for a planar slab of nuclear matter is developed for a separable form of NN interaction. Actually, the separable version of the Paris NN potential is used. The singlet 1S0 and the triplet 3S1–3D1 channel are considered.

Hyperon-nucleus folding potentials in the complex G-matrix approach

Nuclear Physics A, 2010
Abstract We have constructed the hyperon-nucleus optical potential based on the complex G -matrix folding model. The complex G -matrix interactions are derived from the extended-soft core (ESC) model interactions, ESC04a and ESC08. The elastic cross sections and analyzing powers are calculated using the folding-model potentials (FMPs) based on the ...

On the Realization of an nth-Order G Matrix

IRE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1961
Synthesis of a single-element-kind network from a given short-circuit parameter matrix of order n, leading to a topological configuration involving n + 1 nodes, is now known, having been given by the author and several others working on this problem almost simultaneously. This form of realization is, however, not completely general, and therefore it is

The evolution of the G matrix: selection or drift?

Heredity, 2000
The evolution of quantitative characters can be described by the equation Deltaz=GP-1S where Deltaz is the vector of mean responses, G is the matrix of additive genetic variances and covariances, P is the matrix of phenotypic variances and covariances and S is the vector of selection differentials.

Environmental effects on the structure of the G-matrix.

Evolution; international journal of organic evolution, 2016
Genetic correlations between traits determine the multivariate response to selection in the short term, and thereby play a causal role in evolutionary change. Although individual studies have documented environmentally induced changes in genetic correlations, the nature and extent of environmental effects on multivariate genetic architecture across ...

Just How Much is the G-matrix Actually Constraining Adaptation?

Evolutionary Biology, 2009
The genetic variance-covariance matrix (G) has long been considered to summarize the genetic constraints biasing evolution in its early stages, although in some instances, G can enhance divergence and facilitate adaptation. However, the effects of G on the response to selection might be of less importance than previously thought.
