Effect of carbamidomethylation of cysteine residues G11(104)α on the properties of hemoglobin A
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1976A modified hemoglobin tetramer has been prepared containing carbamidomethylated G11(104)alpha cysteine residues. The molecule is electrophoretically identical to hemoglobin A, at pH 8.6, contains 2 titratable sulfhydryl groups per tetramer, and shows a normal oxygen affinity at half-saturation.

Identification of the 48‐kDa G11 protein from guinea pig testes as sperad
Journal of Experimental Zoology, 2002AbstractA protein found specifically in the membrane of spermatozoa called G11 has been implicated in sperm–egg binding and fusion. This study describes purification and identification of the G11 antigen. The G11 protein was purified using anion exchange chromatography, immunoaffinity chromatography and preparative SDS‐PAGE and was subjected to amino ...

Protective effect and mechanism of plant-derived Lactobacillus G11 on septic myocardial injury
International ImmunopharmacologySepsis is currently one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Myocardial injury is the most common and severe complication of sepsis. Lactic acid bacteria are a type of gram-positive bacteria found in fermented foods. Our research group previously isolated two new strains G8 and G11 from Jiangshui. The probiotic effects of G8 and ...
