A Note on T-dualities in the Pure Spinor Heterotic String

open access: yes, 2008
In this note we study the preservation of the classical pure spinor BRST constraints under super T-duality transformations. We also determine the invariance of the one-loop conformal invariance and of the local gauge and Lorentz anomalies under the super

Boosting Photo‐Pyroelectric Effect via Tunable Polarization and Interfacial Defect Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
This study reports Ba(Ti0.85Zr0.15)O3 nanocatalysts with enhanced polarization and oxygen‐vacancy‐rich interfaces for efficient NIR‐II photo‐pyroelectric therapy. Zr doping boosts the pyroelectric coefficient and accelerates polarization switching, while oxygen vacancies improve photothermal conversion and surface reactivity.

P2Y2 and Gq/G11 control blood pressure by mediating endothelial mechanotransduction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Investigation, 2015
Elevated blood pressure is a key risk factor for developing cardiovascular diseases. Blood pressure is largely determined by vasodilatory mediators, such as nitric oxide (NO), that are released from the endothelium in response to fluid shear stress exerted by the flowing blood.

Gauge Equivalence in Two--Dimensional Gravity

open access: yes, 1993
Two-dimensional quantum gravity is identified as a second-class system which we convert into a first-class system via the Batalin-Fradkin (BF) procedure. Using the extended phase space method, we then formulate the theory in most general class of gauges.

Multi‐Targeting Non‐Specific Genome Engineering in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
In this study, we provide the first case to use the multi‐targeting integrase (MTI) systems in bacteria and develop a host‐independent generalizable approach, MNGE (Multi‐targeting Non‐specific Genome Engineering), for multi‐copy and random integration of metabolic genes or pathways in both Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, which will ...

A novel human rotavirus serotype with dual G5-G11 specificity.

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1997
Rotavirus serotype G5 isolates were recently recovered from children with diarrhoea in Brazil. Like most human strains, they exhibited long electropherotypes and subgroup II and Wa-like VP4 specificity. We report the successful propagation and the molecular and antigenic characterization of one of these isolates (IAL-28). Cross-neutralization of IAL-28

Note to “Rates of Return on Open-End Debt Investment Funds and Bank Deposits in Poland in the years 1995–2015 – A Comparative Analysis” Folia Oeconomica Stetinensia 16 (1), (2016), 93–112

open access: yesFolia Oeconomica Stetinensia, 2016
The main goal of this paper is a discussion on the correct choice of annualized return rate. Selected return rate should be appropriate for the multiannual comparative analysis of bank deposits and investment funds.

Seedling Regeneration Process of Sasa veitchii var. tyugokuensis Over 12 Years Following Small‐Scale Flowering

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 3, May 2026.
Sasa species (Poaceae: Bambusoideae) are generally considered monocarpic mass flowering plants. Although seedling regeneration after small‐scale flowering has been largely overlooked, we demonstrated that some seedlings of Sasa veitchii var. tyugokuensis derived from small‐scale flowering survived for 11 years.
