Design and Optimization of Floor Layers in Carbon Fiber Composites for Body‐in‐White Materials

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
The PSO‐BFO‐optimized partitioned carbon fiber mid‐floor achieves a 46.7% weight reduction and significantly improves the bending and torsional stiffness and modal performance of the body‐in‐white. ABSTRACT To improve the performance of the body‐in‐white (BIW) and achieve automotive lightweighting, a balanced approach across materials, techniques, and ...

Comparisons of mutation frequencies and cytotoxic responses of V79 and G12 cells exposed to x rays and alpha particles

open access: yes, 1995
Chinese hamster V79 cells and a pSW2gpt transformed UV-induced HPRT-deficient V79 cell line (G12) were exposed to alpha-particles or X rays to analyze sensitivity to the induction of mutations at the HPRT and gpt loci.

Single‐Sequence Deep Learning Delivers Crystal‐Quality Models of Covalent K‐Ras G12 Hotspot Complexes

open access: yesIUBMB Life, Volume 78, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Structure‐based design of covalent drugs has achieved tremendous success by understanding and leveraging the three‐dimensional interactions between small‐molecule drug candidates and their protein targets. However, this approach traditionally relies on high‐resolution co‐complex structures obtained by X‐ray crystallography, NMR, or cryo‐EM ...

Learning Outcomes That Maximally Differentiate Psychiatric Treatments

open access: yesInternational Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research, Volume 35, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives To develop a statistical method that uncovers clinically meaningful differences between active psychiatric treatments, even when traditional rating scales fail to do so. Methods We introduce Supervised Varimax (SV), a novel algorithm that transforms individual items from clinical rating scales into a small set of optimized outcomes ...

How initial price history influences expectation formation in multi-asset experimental markets: An exploratory case study

open access: yesEconomics and Business Review
We present an exploratory study on expectation formation in a controlled experimental setting. Participants predicted the prices of three risky assets, with their key information being the initial price history.

Gross appearance of cutaneous papillomas inAID-Cre-YFP KrasG12D mice is enhanced by tumor-promoting treatments.

open access: yes, 2013
A) By 3 weeks of age, AID-Cre-YFP KrasG12D mice uniformly have hair loss and a single papilloma localized to the ventral neck; B) control KrasG12D mouse shows normal hair pattern and no papilloma; C) By 17 weeks, AID-Cre-YFP KrasG12D mice given radiation

Comparison on Module Performance and Degradation Robustness of Two‐, Three‐, and Four‐Terminal Perovskite Silicon Configurations Under Realistic Operating Conditions

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 6, Page 653-666, June 2026.
We compare the module performance of two‐terminal, three‐terminal, and four‐terminal perovskite/silicon modules in terms mismatch, thermalization, and interconnection losses. For each configuration, the bandgap energy of the perovskite layer is optimized for different locations.

A Biotechnological Approach to Enzyme‐Based Fertilisers: Immobilisation of Acid Phosphatases

open access: yesMicrobial Biotechnology, Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2026.
The immobilization performance of M2‐32 varied with clay type, with palygorskite providing the highest catalytic reaction and stability. After immobilization, the enzyme preserved its broad pH and temperature tolerance. Neither the free nor the immobilized protein produced measurable changes in the rhizosphere microbial diversity.

Comprehensive transduceromic profiling of NOP receptor ligands at different Gα subunits

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 12, Page 3195-3212, June 2026.
Abstract Background and Purpose The nociceptin/orphanin FQ (N/OFQ) peptide receptor (NOP) is an opioid receptor family member with distinct pharmacology and broad therapeutic potential. NOP receptors regulate functions such as nociception, stress reactivity, reward, mood, autonomic tone, immunity and sleep/wake cycle.
