Introduction and prolonged circulation of G12 rotaviruses in Sicily [PDF]

open access: bronzeEpidemiology and Infection, 2016
SUMMARYGenotype G12 strains are now considered to be the sixth most prevalent human rotaviruses worldwide. In two Sicilian cities, Palermo and Messina, surveillance of rotavirus circulation performed since 1985 and 2009, respectively, did not detect G12 strains until 2012.

Branch-and-Price Solving in G12 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The G12 project is developing a software environment for stating and solving combinatorial problems by mapping a high-level model of the problem to an efficient combination of solving methods. Model annotations are used to control this process.

Serotype G12 Rotaviruses, Lilongwe, Malawi [PDF]

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2009
To assess diversity of rotavirus strains in Lilongwe, Malawi, we conducted a cross-sectional study of children with acute gastroenteritis, July 2005–June 2007. Serotype G12 was identified in 30 (5%) of 546 rotavirus-positive fecal specimens.

G12/13 signaling in asthma

open access: yesRespiratory Research
Shortening of airway smooth muscle and bronchoconstriction are pathognomonic for asthma. Airway shortening occurs through calcium-dependent activation of myosin light chain kinase, and RhoA-dependent calcium sensitization, which inhibits myosin light ...

Galaxy and Mass Assembly (GAMA): Exploring the WISE Web in G12 [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2016
We present an analysis of the mid-infrared Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) sources seen within the equatorial GAMA G12 field, located in the North Galactic Cap.

Identification of a Rotavirus G12 Strain, Indonesia [PDF]

open access: diamondEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2009
To the Editor: Group A rotaviruses are the most common etiologic agents of acute gastroenteritis in infants and young children, each year resulting in ≈100 million diarrhea episodes and 600,000 deaths worldwide (1). The genome of rotavirus comprises 11 segments of double-stranded RNA, which encode 6 structural viral proteins (VPs) and 6 nonstructural ...

Extreme returns and idiosyncratic risks: evidence from an emerging market [PDF]

open access: yesSeonmul yeongu, 2021
In this paper, we show that there is a negative premium for MAX stocks in the Korean stock market. However, there is no evidence that the MAX effect overwhelms the effects of idiosyncratic risk.

Illiquidity, duration and momentum profits: evidence from the Korean stock market [PDF]

open access: yesSeonmul yeongu, 2021
This paper examines the role of illiquidity and duration factor in understanding the momentum profit in the Korean stock market. We find that the foreigner/institutional illiquidity factor explains the momentum effect.

G12 signaling through c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase promotes breast cancer cell invasion. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Signaling through the heterotrimeric G protein, G12, via Rho induces a striking increase in breast cancer cell invasion. In this study, evidence is provided that the c-Jun NH(2)-terminal kinase (JNK) is a key downstream effector of G12 on this pathway ...

Whole Genomic Analysis of Human G12P[6] and G12P[8] Rotavirus Strains that Have Emerged in Myanmar. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
G12 rotaviruses are emerging rotavirus strains causing severe diarrhea in infants and young children worldwide. However, the whole genomes of only a few G12 strains have been fully sequenced and analyzed. In this study, we sequenced and characterized the
