Genetic and the Environmental Influences on the Concentrations Iron and Zinc in Small Seeded Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Varieties and Advanced Lines From Ethiopia

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 6, Issue 2, June 2024.
ABSTRACT Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is a grain legume rich in proteins and micronutrients, particularly iron and zinc. In this study, 30 small‐seeded genotypes were planted in five locations in Ethiopia, following an alpha lattice design with three replications, to determine environmental and genotypic influence on the Fe and Zn concentration.

Hadron production in relativistic nuclear collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions create a "fireball" of strongly interacting matter at high energy density. At very high energy this is suggested to be partonic matter, but at lower energy it should consist of yet unknown hadronic, perhaps ...

On the Formation of Trapped Electron Radiation Belts at Ganymede

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 51, Issue 10, 28 May 2024.
Abstract This study presents evidence of stably trapped electrons at Jupiter's moon Ganymede. We model energetic electron pitch angle distributions and compare them to observations from the Galileo Energetic Particle Detector to identify signatures of trapped particles during the G28 encounter.

Graphical Classification of Global SO(n) Invariants and Independent General Invariants

open access: yes, 1997
This paper treats some basic points in general relativity and in its perturbative analysis. Firstly a systematic classification of global SO(n) invariants, which appear in the weak-field expansion of n-dimensional gravitational theories, is presented ...

Scaling analysis of a model Hamiltonian for Ce$^{3+}$ impurity in a cubic metal

open access: yes, 1996
We introduce various exchange interactions in a model Hamiltonian for Ce$^{3+}$ ions in cubic symmetry with three configurations ($f^0$,$f^1$,$f^2$). With the impurity pseudo spin $S_I=1/2$, our Hamiltonian includes: (i) One-channel $S_c=1/2$ Anderson ...

Resonance Production in STAR

open access: yes, 2003
The recent results from resonance production in central Au+Au and p+p collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = $ 200 GeV from the STAR experiment at RHIC are presented and discussed.Comment: 7 pages, proceedings 19th Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamics ...

What do we learn from Resonance Production in Heavy Ion Collisions?

open access: yes, 2005
Resonances with their short life time and strong coupling to the dense and hot medium are suggested as a signature of the early stage of the fireball created in a heavy ion collision \cite{rap00,lut01,lut02}.

Renormalization group for network models of Quantum Hall transitions

open access: yes, 2001
We analyze in detail the renormalization group flows which follow from the recently proposed all orders beta functions for the Chalker-Coddington network model. The flows in the physical regime reach a true singularity after a finite scale transformation.

Lambda and anti-Lambda production in central Pb-Pb collisions at 40, 80, and 158 A GeV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Production of Lambda and Antilambda hyperons was measured in central Pb-Pb collisions at 40, 80, and 158 A GeV beam energy on a fixed target. Transverse mass spectra and rapidity distributions are given for all three energies.
