Comparison of standard G3 and ECM G3 transmission using computer simulation

Conference Proceedings, 2002Performance models for standard Group 3 (G3) and error correction mode (ECM) G3 fax transmission are investigated, and channels over the public switched telephone network (PSTN) are simulated. Transmission times under certain line conditions for the models are then compared and analyzed. The channel noise over PSTN was investigated.
