We demonstrate non-perturbative coupling between a single self-assembled InGaAs quantum dot and an external fiber-mirror-based microcavity. Our results extend the previous realizations of tunable microcavities while ensuring spatial and spectral overlap ...

Do current cosmological observations rule out all Covariant Galileons? [PDF]
We revisit the cosmology of Covariant Galileon gravity in view of the most recent cosmological data sets, including weak lensing. As a higher derivative theory, Covariant Galileon models do not have a $\Lambda$CDM limit and predict a very different ...

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Gender and spoken language use in consumer finance
Finance is still stereotypically perceived as a male domain, and social group divisions have linguistic consequences. This study examines whether language use in consumer finance exhibits gendered characteristics by identifying linguistic patterns used ...

Connecting substellar and stellar formation. The role of the host star's metallicity [PDF]
Most of our current understanding of the planet formation mechanism is based on the planet metallicity correlation derived mostly from solar-type stars harbouring gas-giant planets. To achieve a far more reaching grasp on the substellar formation process

Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Genetic diversity of bacterial communities and gene transfer agents in northern South China Sea. [PDF]
Pyrosequencing of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene (rDNA) amplicons was performed to investigate the unique distribution of bacterial communities in northern South China Sea (nSCS) and evaluate community structure and spatial differences of bacterial diversity.
