A comparative analysis of computational intelligence algorithms for estimation of LTE channels

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики
Precise modelling and accurate estimation of long-term evolution (LTE) channels are essential for numerous applications like video streaming, efficient use of bandwidth and utilization of power.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Jumps of the eta invariant

open access: yes, 1994
We study the eta-invariant, defined by Atiyah-Patodi-Singer a real valued invariant of an oriented odd-dimensional Riemannian manifold equipped with a unitary representation of its fundamental group.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

The structure of stable minimal hypersurfaces in R^n

open access: yes, 1997
We provide a new topological obstruction for complete stable minimal hypersurfaces in R^n. For $n\geq 4$, we prove that any complete orientable stable hypersurfaces in R^n has only one end.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

Group systems, groupoids, and moduli spaces of parabolic bundles

open access: yes, 1995
Let $G$ be a Lie group, with an invariant non-degenerate symmetric bilinear form on its Lie algebra, let $\pi$ be the fundamental group of an orientable (real) surface $M$ with a finite number of punctures, and let $\bold C$ be a family of conjugacy ...

Towards High-Performance DC Motor Control: Fractional Modelling and FOPID Optimisation

open access: yesPower Electronics and Drives
DC motor speed control is fundamental in modern industrial and robotic systems, where high precision, robustness and energy efficiency are required. Conventional integer-order Proportional–Integral–Derivative (PID) controllers often fail to capture the ...
