Gadolinium-DTPA enhanced MR imaging in tuberous sclerosis
Neuroradiology, 1990Ten patients with clinical tuberous sclerosis were examined with CT and MR imaging, before and after IV contrast in order to determine the role of Gd-DTPA. Gd-DTPA enhancement occurred in eleven subependymal nodules which did not enhance on CT after IV contrast.

Echoplanar diffusion-weighted MRI with intravenous gadolinium-DTPA
Neuroradiology, 2003It is occasionally necessary to repeat diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) after giving intravenous contrast medium (CM). However, the effects of CM on DWI and apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC) have not been fully examined. The aim of this prospective study was to investigate whether there are any diagnostically significant differences between echo ...

Gadolinium-Dtpa-Enhanced MR Imaging in Asymptomatic Knees
Acta Radiologica, 1996Purpose: To evaluate the occurrence and extent of Gd-DTPA-enhanced synovial structures in asymptomatic knee joints of middle-aged healthy individuals. Material and Methods: MR imaging of the knee joint was performed in 10 healthy subjects aged 40–61 years. The study included a sagittal T1-weighted SE sequence before and after i.v. injection of 0.1 mmol

Elimination of gadolinium-DTPA by peritoneal dialysis.
Nephrology, dialysis, transplantation : official publication of the European Dialysis and Transplant Association - European Renal Association, 1995Magnetic resonance urography (MRU) after i.v. injection of gadolinium-DTPA (0.1 mmol/kg bodyweight) was performed in a patient with transplant dysfunction after renal allograft transplantation. Renal replacement therapy was accomplished by means of peritoneal dialysis.

Investigative Radiology, 1996
The authors investigated the enhancing effect of low-dose administration of the macromolecular, paramagnetic contrast medium gadolinium (Gd)-DTPA-polylysine (average molecular weight, 40,000-50,000 dalton [D]) compared with Gd-DTPA (molecular weight, 547 D) in time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography of unilaterally damaged sheep lungs.Thirteen ...

Gadolinium-DTPA-Enhanced MRI of the Facial Nerve
1994Gadolinium(Gd)-DTPA-enhanced magnetic resonance images (MRI) of facial nerves in the temporal bone were evaluated to ascertain the relation between the duration of the disease and the sites of enhancement.

In Vitro Interactions of Gadolinium DOTA Meglumine and Gadolinium DTPA Meglumine on Hemostasis
Investigative Radiology, 1988The interactions of two gadolinium complexes (Gd-DOTA meglumine and Gd-DTPA meglumine) with hemostatic function have been analyzed using: (1) coagulation reactions (extrinsic and intrinsic pathways and fibrinoformation) and (2) platelet function investigations (aggregation, release of Ca++ and ATP after stimulation with collagen 2.5 micrograms/mL). The

Giant Cisterna Chyli: MRI Depiction with Gadolinium-DTPA Enhancement
Clinical Radiology, 2000To demonstrate the use of MRI with Gadolinium-DTPA enhancement in the diagnosis of giant cisterna chyli. The study consisted of contrast enhanced MRI with ultrasound and CT correlation in three patients with a giant cisterna chyli. An analysis of the morphology, location and post-contrast MR signal characteristics in relation to time was performed ...

Asymptomatic renal abscess: Evaluation with gadolinium DTPA-enhanced MRI
Abdominal Imaging, 1994Incidental detection of renal mass in a transplant patient is a diagnostic challenge. These patients are at risk for the development of neoplasms and, more commonly, infection with atypical organisms. Symptomatology may be lacking in either, and both conditions may present with similar symptoms.
