Versatile Gasochromic Hydrogen Detection via Supraparticle‐Based Applied Composite Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Silica‐platinum‐resazurin supraparticles are embedded into PMMA to form suprabeads and thin films. The thereby obtained indicators change color from purple to pink to colorless on hydrogen exposure. The indicator systems are tested under various environmental conditions, and their performance is related to their microscopically visualized structure ...

Excitonic Landscapes in Monolayer Lateral Heterostructures Revealed by Unsupervised Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Hyperspectral photoluminescence data from graded MoxW1 − xS2 alloys and monolayer MoS2–WS2 lateral heterostructures are analyzed using unsupervised machine learning. The combined use of PCA, t‐SNE, and DBSCAN uncovers distinct excitonic regions that trace how composition, strain, and defects modulate optical responses in these 2D materials.

The 100 micron surveys in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres [PDF]

open access: yes
Partial surveys in the far infrared in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have covered 40% of the galactic equator and assorted regions away from the galactic plane. Approximately 120 100-micron objects are known.

A Proof‐of‐Concept Assessment of a Novel Wearable Eyelid Muscle Device: A Pre‐Clinical Animal Cadaver Study for Eyelid Closure Restoration

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces a soft wearable eyelid sling device incorporating a hydraulic soft artificial muscle (SAM) for achieving complete closure of an eyelid. The SAM is driven by a cam mechanism that provides a displacement profile closely matched with those of a healthy eyelid.

Finding Quasars behind the Galactic Plane. III. Spectroscopic Identifications of ∼1300 New Quasars at ∣b∣ ≤ 20° from LAMOST DR10

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Quasars behind the Galactic plane (GPQs) are excellent tracers to probe the chemistry and kinematics of the interstellar/intergalactic medium of the Milky Way along sight lines via absorption line spectroscopy.

NNMT Orchestrates Metabolic‐Epigenetic Reprogramming to Drive Macrophage‐Myofibroblast Transition in Hypertrophic Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In macrophage‐myofibroblast transition, upregulated NNMT depletes S‐Adenosylmethionine‌ (SAM) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+), thereby triggering epigenetic reprogramming via Histone H3 Lysine 27 acetylation (H3K27ac) accumulation at the promoter region of master transcription factor Prrx1.
