CO emission from the southern galactic plane and galactic structure
2008The original southern galactic plane CO survey (294° ⩽ 358° and 2° ⩽ l ⩽ 13° at −0°.075 ⩽ b ⩽ 0°0.75) has been extended to cover the longitude range 279° ⩽ l ⩽ 300° at −0°.95 ⩽ b ⩽ −0.70. The Carina arm is well defined in CO emission over a length of eleven kiloparsecs.
