Chasing the identification of ASCA Galactic Objects (ChIcAGO): An X-ray survey of unidentified sources in the galactic plane. I : Source sample and initial results [PDF]
We present the Chasing the Identification of ASCA Galactic Objects (ChIcAGO) survey, which is designed to identify the unknown X-ray sources discovered during the ASCA Galactic Plane Survey (AGPS).

Polarized radio filaments outside the Galactic plane [PDF]
We used data from the \wmap satellite at 23, 33 and 41 GHz to study the diffuse polarised emission over the entire sky. The emission originates mostly from filamentary structures with well-ordered magnetic fields. Some of these structures have been known for decades in radio continuum maps.

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Search for Neutrino Signals Correlated with LHAASO Diffuse Galactic Emission
The diffuse Galactic γ -ray emission originates from the interactions between cosmic rays and the interstellar medium or radiation fields within our Galaxy, where the production of neutrinos is also anticipated.

An Interaction of a Magellanic Leading Arm High Velocity Cloud with the Milky Way Disk
The Leading Arm of the Magellanic System is a tidally formed HI feature extending $\sim 60\arcdeg$ from the Magellanic Clouds ahead of their direction of motion.

Fractional Skyrmion Tubes in Chiral‐Interfaced 3D Magnetic Nanowires
In chiral 3D helical magnetic nanowires, the coupling between the geometric and magnetic chirality provides a way to create topological spin states like vortex tubes. Here, it is demonstrated how the breaking of this coupling in interfaced 3D nanowires of opposite chirality leads to even more complex topological spin states, such as fractional ...

EMU Detection of a Large and Low Surface Brightness Galactic SNR G288.8–6.3
We present the serendipitous detection of a new Galactic supernova remnant (SNR), G288.8–6.3, using data from the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) Evolutionary Map of the Universe (EMU) survey.

Remarkable symmetries in the Milky Way disk's magnetic field
Using a new, expanded compilation of extragalactic source Faraday rotation measures (RM) we investigate the broad underlying magnetic structure of the Galactic disk at latitudes $|b|$ $\lesssim 15^{\circ}$ over all longitudes $l$, where our total number ...
