ULTRACOMPACT EMBEDDED CLUSTERS IN THE GALACTIC PLANE [PDF]
We have identified a previously unrecognized population of very compact, embedded low-mass Galactic stellar clusters. These tight (r$ \approx $0.14 pc) groupings appear as bright singular objects at the few arcsec resolution of the Spitzer Space Telescope at 8 and 24 $ $m but become resolved in the sub-arcsecond UKIDSS images.

The MOST Galactic Plane Survey [PDF]
AbstractThe Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope (MOST) has been upgraded to increase the diameter of the field of view from 70′ to 2·7°. A survey of the Galactic Plane is proposed to completely cover the region 240° ≤ l ≤ 365°, ∣ b ∣ ≤ 10° with a (1σ) sensitivity of 1–2 mJy.

Unprecedented Spin‐Lifetime of Itinerant Electrons in Natural Graphite Crystals
Graphite exhibits extraordinary spintronic potential, with electron spin lifetimes reaching 1,000 ns at room temperature ‐ over 100 times longer than graphene‐based devices. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy reveals strong anisotropy: out‐of‐plane spins live 50 times longer than their in‐plane counterparts.
