The cores of dwarf galaxy haloes [PDF]
We use N-body simulations to examine the effects of mass outflows on the density profiles of cold dark matter (CDM) halos surrounding dwarf galaxies. In particular, we investigate the consequences of supernova-driven winds that expel a large fraction of the baryonic component from a dwarf galaxy disk after a vigorous episode of star formation.

The galaxy–halo connection of emission-line galaxies in IllustrisTNG [PDF]
ABSTRACT We employ the hydrodynamical simulation IllustrisTNG-300-1 to explore the halo occupation distribution (HOD) and environmental dependence of luminous star-forming emission-line galaxies (ELGs) at z ∼ 1. Such galaxies are key targets for current and upcoming cosmological surveys.

Galaxy Halo Masses from Galaxy‐Galaxy Lensing
We present measurements of the extended dark halo profiles of bright early type galaxies at redshifts 0.1 to 0.9 obtained via galaxy-galaxy lensing analysis of images taken at the CFHT using the UH8K CCD mosaic camera. Six half degree fields were observed for a total of 2 hours each in I and V, resulting in catalogs containing ~20 000 galaxies per ...

The Galaxy Number Density Profile of Halos
Abstract More precise measurements of galaxy clustering will be provided by the next generation of galaxy surveys, such as DESI, WALLABY, and the Square Kilometre Array. To utilize this information to improve our understanding of the Universe, we need to accurately model the distribution of galaxies in their host dark matter halos.

Galaxy morphology – halo gas connections [PDF]
We studied a sample of 38 intermediate redshift Mgii absorption-selected galaxies using (1) Keck/HIRES and VLT/UVES quasar spectra to measure the halo gas kinematics from Mgii absorption profiles and (2) HST/WFPC–2 images to study the absorbing galaxy morphologies. We have searched for correlations between quantified gas absorption properties, and host

Hunting for galaxies and halos in simulations with VELOCIraptor [PDF]
AbstractWe present VELOCIraptor, a massively parallel galaxy/(sub)halo finder that is also capable of robustly identifying tidally disrupted objects and separate stellar halos from galaxies. The code is written in C++11, use the Message Passing Interface (MPI) and OpenMP Application Programming Interface (API) for parallelisation, and includes python ...
